Start date: Aug 1, 2015,

PROJECT
FINISHED
Location: Urban Community of Bordeaux.
Project Type: Youth european exchange
Themes: fight against discrimination and violence against women, intercultural dialogue and European citizenship
Duration: 11 days (from 8 to 16 November 2015)
Countries involved: Italy, Norway, Romania, Turkey, Bulgaria, Denmark, France
Number of participants: 36 people including 8 team leaders
Objectives: The project aims to enable young Europeans to be involved in the fight against discrimination in employment and violence against women. To do this, we organize a European meeting that combines reflection to action. Indeed, lively discussion meetings by recognized local figures will enable young people to share the current reality of discrimination and violence against women. This is, firstly, to understand the construction of gender relations, forms of expression, their consequences and, secondly, to work to educate young people and the general public.
Indeed, ownership by young Europeans of the problem that transcends borders will be done by the animation of specific stands in an open to the public educational rally. This rally will combine "sporting" events for educational events to promote reflection and discussion in teams. European participants therefore pass the stage of learners than in co-constructing transmitters and co-animating events-stands.
Activities: Youth will participate and will host educational workshops to feed their thoughts and meet
local actors in order to know what is done in our territories for access to employment for women and the protection of women victims of domestic violence. Moreover, they will deliver the tests they will rally stands builds. Finally, intercultural evenings, outings and games also allow young people to learn to know, to discover, to establish an intercultural dialogue. All these activities and learning that result will be formalized in their Youth Pass.
The methods chosen are those under active pedagogy where the young person is at the center of activity and therefore
learning. He can progress at their own pace, with his own desires and his own expectations. This pedagogy makes
to learn from the encounter, experimentation, through action, gambling, discussion ....
