As TREX EVS; we are going to submit to Turkish National Agency in order to get grant for sending young people to Europe through EVS. We are going to call this project “Daphne” According to our botanical knowledge, Daphne belongs to Mediterranean basin and it is evergreen tree, both in winter and in summer. You can see Daphe with its vivacious leaves. In addition to this, we have established mutual relation with Daphne and EVS. Let’s us explain!European Voluntary Service is a unique opportunity to come into contact with cultures different from volunteer’s own and to acquire new skills and abilities useful for volunteer’s personal and professional growth. If the volunteer gains all these experience thank to EVS, they would keep themselves alive such a shining Daphne. We believe that EVS are like Daphne trees which have different length of brunches. Some brunches go towards sky and sun which teaches volunteers what they need such as new language, ability to deal with obstacles, expressing themselves to themselves and to community, basic skills to use new technology, creating a new world for own themselves , etc. In meanwhile other brunches would carry heavier matters such as encountering with hot and cold, dark weather that struggle against all unknown issues, fears, risks, etc. Despite everything, Daphne is always stronger, more beautiful and shinier. Therefore our volunteers could be the significant part of their own nature in a huge forest.We would like to provide to Turkish young people to enrich their experience and improve their skills. For young people of Turkey, this issue has highly important because of the lack of awareness of the active civil society and the appropriate information about volunteerism and the meaning of it. Giving to them the chance to join and act in a multicultural society and especially abroad in such a project will stimulate their quest for another way of enriching their experiences and lead them to a more European oriented way of thinking.Our main aim of this project is continue the youth movement in international platform. Mainly we aim that the youth movements continue and turn back to our young people positively. Also we want that the youth utilize the facilitation of international movements and experience the international communication. During the project 11 volunteers will do EVS with long term and short term activities in different countries. They will organized by this project in Romania, Greece, Hungary, Sweeden.The volunteer that we'll send to Greece will support the works of Balkan investigations by using different media tools. The volunteer that we'll send to Romania will join the work about environmental awareness and the participation of childs. The voluneer that we'll send to Sweeden will have responsibility to carry out youth information organization by using different tools. During all the activities our volunteers will support the youth informing by using different tools. Also they will have change their minds and break their prejudices about inter-cultural area. Via this project we are plannig to continue to strengten our partnership with our partners that we get along well.
