Three volunteers from Italy, Spain and Turkey will participate in the long term EVS project „Let’s create new opportunities!” for a period of 12 months. For the first and the third (final) stage of the project they will live in Sofia. During the second stage, the volunteers will work in the town of Sandanski for a month - the venue of the Balkan Youth Festival. The EVS volunteers will participate in the preparation of the XXth Balkan Youth Festival (BYF), specifically working on its promotion, maintenance of the web-site of the festival, preparation of the Festival Programme, preparation and realization of various activities, analysis of the festival results, collecting feedback from the festival participants, publishing festival materials on the web and promotion of the Balkan Youth Festival, EVS, "Erasmus +" and the messages of the European Year of Development, 2015.
The participation in this project will create opportunities for EVS volunteers to develop their organizational skills and entrepreneurship; communication and language skills; technical and computer knowledge and skills; the ability to work with the media and also to enhance their creativity and responsibility, solidarity and tolerance towards the differences.
They will work in a team and create valuable contacts with young people and youth organization representatives from Bulgaria and other European countries. The project gives a chance to its participants to get acquainted with the Bulgarian and Balkan culture and traditions, daily life and the work of youth organizations from Bulgaria, the Balkan region and Europe.
To sum up, with the implementation of this long-term EVS project we aim to create opportunities for development of young people and organizations involved in it and to promote the objectives, priorities and opportunities for mobility that provides "Erasmus +" Programme. We want to show in practice what is to be a European volunteer.
