The project’s goal is to improve transport connections in Lithuania-Poland border area and to integrate the system of local roads into regional roads. The reconstruction of 9 local roads is planned in frame of the project. Feasibility studies and technical reconstruction projects were arranged during the preparation phase. Expected Results: The main benefits of the project are related to improving traffic conditions, decreasing travel time and enhancing the accessibility of some remote areas. At the same time the project will improve living conditions of local people and will make the area more attractive for foreign tourists. The partners will also publish the map, covering participating regions from Lithuania and Poland, where the reconstructed roads and main tourism attractions will be indicated.
