Siauliai University and Latvian University of Agriculture are interested in focusing their expert skills on regional socio-economic development to make studies and research more pragmatic by implementing research in areas relevant for the Baltic Sea Region. Therefore, both institutions decided to develop a project to create cooperation network - a platform for educational products, new initiatives and strategies. It is also an excellent format for exchange of best practices, raising of awareness, building mathematics teaching skills and educational techniques for Northern Lithuania (Siauliai County) and Southern Latvia (Zemgale). Project is targeting university students and lecturers, high school students and teachers, school and university administration, businessmen, public authorities, educators across the border region. It is planned to carry out external and internal researches, prepare recommendations for network and cooperation strategy plan, present best practices during seminars, discussions and meetings, organize Olympiads for secondary school and University students, encourage launch of innovative products and activities.
