‘Creative Entrepreneurship’ is an international youth exchange which will take place in Rijeka from 21st till 30th of October, 2016. It will bring together 30 participants from 5 different countries involved in the exchange: Croatia, Cyprus, Italy, Portugal and Romania. The idea of this youth exchange was introduced and developed by 2 local volunteers from Life Potential with the support of an experienced youth worker. While the rates of youth unemployment are surprisingly high in EU countries, this youth exchange was designed as a response to the need of enhancing the chances of youth to get employed or create jobs for themselves. Thus, the main goal of Creative Entrepreneurship youth exchange is to encourage participants to approach the problem of youth unemployment by launching start-ups and creating jobs for themselves through development of entrepreneurial competences.‘Creative Entrepreneurship’ is designed to bring together young people with different background, experience and environment. The age of participants ranges 18-30, and we expect at least 50% of young people face fewer opportunities. The learning methods are learning by doing and peer learning, while the program will include workshops and processes delivered both participants and team leaders, ranging from discussions and role plays up to interactive lectures and energizers. We expect participants to become aware of entrepreneurship and its opportunities for youth, to share knowledge and gain practical skills needed for start-ups through peer learning, become accountable for their lives and careers and to make first steps in entrepreneurship using creative approach. The visibility of the project will be ensured by media, usage of logos and Google AdWords campaign, as well as organizing a meeting with local media. Dissemination of results is planned via creation of a brochure on creative entrepreneurship, implementation of local initiatives upon returning back home, shooting a video and launching a crowdfunding campaign.Long-term we expect participants become self-employed and create jobs of their dream, while we’re going to support them in making their first steps for the first 3 months after the project.
