Creation of Tourist Route from the Tilsit Peace Treaty of 1807 to Tauroggen Convention of 1812 (ILPR.02.01.00-72-185/10-00)

The overall objective of the project is to preserve, renew and adopt for tourist needs the historical-cultural heritage of Lithuania and the Kaliningrad region (Russia) and to increase local and foreign tourist flows through creation of an international tourist route. Expected Results: 1. Office equipment and furniture shall be purchased for the project management at the Administration of Sovetsk City District in Sovetsk (Russia).2. The monument of Queen Louise restored on the historic site in Sovetsk (Russia) and the central avenue of the town park landscaped from the entrance arch to the memorial site with the installation of 14 benches and 14 light poles.3. Memorial sign The Napoleons lime tree in Sovetsk designed and installed: landscaping works of the area around performed and the fragments of the historical raft restored.4. Tourist route Along the Road of the Tilsit Peace shall be created in Sovetsk, consisting of 11 points, each equipped with informational stand-navigators with banners and one screen monitor. The open-air layout of the Tilsit town in 1807 will be installed and 10 x 13 m size map will be prepared and attached to the wall of the History Museum of Sovetsk.5. International procession on the tourist route in Sovetsk attended by the clubs of historical reconstruction of Lithuania and the Kaliningrad district, followed by the international research and practice conference and temporary exhibition From Tilsit Peace Treaty to the Tauroggen convention. A number of printing materials produced confined to the above mentioned events.6. A pedestrian-cyclist bridge across the Jūra River built in Tauragė (Lithuania).7. A cycle lane of 1.5-3 meter width from the bridge across the Jūra River up to Lauksargiai village constructed in Tauragė district (Lithuania).8. The infrastructure of the monument of Tauroggen Convention shall be improved including construction of a parking lot for 15 cars near the monument, building of a bridge across the Ežeruona River and asphalting of the 2.2 km road to the monument in Tauragė district (Lithuania).9. Base of the monument of the Tauroggen Convention shall be restored in Staiginė village (Lithuania).10. Kick-off and final project conferences shall be organised in Tauragė district (Lithuania).
