The main goal of the project was to establish synergy between traditional crafts, skills and intangible heritage within the tourism sector. The aim was to create new attractions for cultural tourism in the cross-border area. The biggest activities during the project were an expert conference and educational programmes. A set of workshops were organized: workshop for paper decorations, pottery workshop, carpentry workshop, blacksmithing workshop and thatched roof workshop. In addition, four exhibitions were organized - two in Croatia and two in Slovenia - and two fair promotions where they presented the project and products of different crafts of the cross-border area. Achievements: During the project a large database was created in the newly established Centre for traditional crafts and skills in the Old Village Museum in Kumrovec and Centre for traditional skills in Ptuj. The database encompasses information from fieldwork about many old crafts and skills, traditional culinary art and domestic agricultural estates. It provides an opportunity for further expert fieldwork, preserving and presenting traditional tangible and intangible heritage. The project has successfully produced the results three publications and a DVD, which can be used along with the database to create new tourist destinations in the cross-border area.
