COPRODUCTION YOUTH CAMP 2013
Start date: May 7, 2013,

The time Banking tool has been a prerequisite for the creation and discovery of new talents in young peoples lives in Bergsjön and Gothenburg in general. The Time Banking network has nurtured a basic ground for different young people from different backgrounds to meet and share ideas and knowledge. The theme for this years youth camp is Co-production. Co-production has been experienced from youth involved in the time networking of organizations. While time banking has created more opportunities in creation of ideas, activities, talents and so has co-production been the result in the outcome of the generated activities. This entails building a working community between the public and private sector to make better use of resources and reach out to the general public in the best way possible. Public private partnerships are a growing concern in the non governmental sector. Youth affiliated with TidsNätverket i Bergsjön partnering with governmental organizations would like to create a forum for co-production in social activities. The end result of this YE is to create a model that would be used as ideas for the development of the Cultural House in Bergsjön whose financing has been approved. The multilateral youth exchange “Co-Prodction Youth Camp 2013” is planned to take place 1st of August until 8th of august in Sweden, Bergsjön - Kortedala - Angered, suburbs in Gothenburg. The exchange is an interactive 7 days long “simulation human test for society development by youth participation” for 30 youngsters from Georgia, Greece, Latvia and Sweden which shows the methods and possibilities for effective development of the local society. The aim of the project is to show to the youngsters from the four different countries through simulation on how efficient we can use available resources to create more output and make our community’s everyday life better. The participating youths are all engaged in developing their local community and this exchange will improve their skills in co-production, society developing through exchanges, knowledge about projects and methods in different countries. International youngsters will share their skills and knowledge, organizing different workshops where other participants can be involved. Co-production as a method, aims to visualize all unsourced, separated resources that exist in the public, private and local sectors in our community. Not only international youth community will benefit from the camp, but also the local community including youths as well as youthworkers, social workers and civil servants will take advantage of the exchange of knowledge and methods for society development. The basic principle of the peer education is that the work builds upon mutual exchange of people.
