A new study model called "How to start your business" was introduced at the Crafts Secondary School of Jelgava and Klaipeda Dressmaking and Service Business School in order to increase the competitiveness of students and encourage them to start their own business. In addition, the infrastructure of both educational institutions has been improved by renovating and buying the necessary equipment for a hairdressers' study room in Klaipeda and study classes in Jelgava. Through the project, hairdressers of both schools participate in international workshops and exchange their experience. Teachers of both schools participated in the European Skills Competition, EuroSkills 2010, in Lisabon, Portugal.
