The project promotes cooperation in the border area in the R + D and innovation, the development of joint research infrastructure. The project promotes cooperation in the border area in research and innovation, developing a common research infrastructure. It starts from a remarkable similarity in characteristics regarding the natural resources of geothermal water, wind and solar radiation intensity, and the products of organic waste in the border area Hajdu-Bihar and Bihor counties and is based on the scientific and research potential existing in the partner universities and on the traditional cooperation relations between them. The project envisages the development of a modern and advanced research infrastructure, which enables researches and scientific investigations at European level. It also involves an important specific component of human resource development, with significant impact on medium and long term, the partners in this project being the most important university centers in the border region Romania – Hungary.The main activities of this project are: getting electricity from geothermal water energy, study of the effects of increasing wind due to local terrain features and weather, development of project web page, scientific conferences organisation, determination of solar energy potential in various areas of border areas with the goal of using it in the future, estimation of the potential of the bioenergetics residues from agriculture and food industry, modelling, simulation and interactive Monitoring the wind generator and the solar power.Direct beneficiaries of the project are: researchers, students, teachers, the future users of the new research infrastructure created. The researchers in the field of clean energy sources in border region will benefit of the results since these will be disseminated at scientific conferences, publications and the web page that will be created.
