The objective of this project was to share the expertise of the Engineers Ireland CPD Accredited Employer standard with European partners and to learn from them how they provide lifelong learning for engineers and technicians at all levels of education.The ultimate impact was a move towards establishing a EU best-practice model for efficient and effective lifelong learning programmes among leading employers, allowing them to 'move up the value chain' in terms of the level and calibre of work they can undertake. This elevation of standards, through upskilling, was of prime benefit to their technical staff.
