Our proposed project is a youth exchange which will be held in the Youth Hostel in San Rafael, province of Segovia and the region of Castilla y León, from 20 to 30 July 2015, which will work with environment and the importance of the recycling of waste, as well as the acquisition of awareness that we are citizens of Europe and the importance of being European citizens. 36 young people aged between 13 and 18 years old from France, Italy and Spain, will live 10 days together accompanied by 6 heads, learning aspects of environment, carrying out activities in a creative way of recycling waste and working topics of interest about Europe feel true European citizens to become aware of this. Our main topics are environment and its impact on the climate change, as we can learn with creativity to recycle everyday waste and democratic aspects about the echo be young Europeans and feel as such.
The applied methodology will always be very participatory, deciding each and every one of the actions of democratically between all, thinking of activities by and for us. Our idea is to treat the current environmental concerns and how we can participate in creative way to recycle waste by returning a practical use, and know aspects of Europe to feel active and participatory European citizens in every day.
We intend to impact on all groups that surround us, whether it be family, friends, acquaintances, neighbors, classmates, representatives politicians, media press, etc. at local, provincial and regional levels, in our Spanish territory and in the territory of each participating Group invited. With this exchange we hope to long term feel more free and United citizens being aware that in Europe there are no borders and we can move freely to visit our new friends from other countries, in the same way that we want to grow, being aware that the environmental future of our planet is in our hands and we have to collaborate in our day to day and awakening to our environment in the idea of waste recycling.
