CONNEXT project is aimed to kick-off a unique collaboration between artists, cultural operators and media art education providers on a European level. This specifically set-up initiative will make it possible to map, catalyze, showcase, and contextualize in a sustainable manner the works that are being created in context of European media art education and to bring them to the large public across Europe.Project activities will comprise (aside management, evaluation and promotion) of: 1. Mapping: Shared networked actions mapping out European media art education, 2. Catalyzing: Well-targeted stimulation actions towards the creation of new artworks in a form of residencies and awards, 3. Showcasing: Coordinated deployment of a model for circulating the artworks across European festivals, 4. Contextualization: An adoption of a valid documentation strategy that will help both the creators/talents and the public to benefit from on a long-term basis.The main objectives of CONNEXT therefore are to stimulate interdisciplinary creativity via workshops, residencies and awards, to catalyze mobility of new talents in media art and circulation of their works via residencies and participation at artistic manifestations taking form of festivals, exhibitions, performances and public space interventions.
