The “Anghel Saligny” Technical College from Bacau was the beneficiary of the Erasmus+ project, entitled “European Skills in Web Design”, no. 2014 – 1 – RO01 – KA102 – 001233. This project is a part of Key Action 1 – Mobility Training VET, during the 15.IX.2014 till the 14.IX.2015.
The main objective of the project:
To simplify the students’ integration and mobility on the European labor market, identifying and answering their needs of professional abilities and contributing to the improvement of their skills and of the acquired competencies.
Specific objectives:
- Perfecting their skills in the technology of information to increase their chances for integration on the labor market throughout the EU,
- Improving linguistic performance.
- To make them conscious of the importance of using the information technology and its implications in the social, ethical and human fields.
- The development of entrepreneurship in an international context and the personal development through increased self confidence,
- Improving intercultural skills by increasing the participants’ capacity to understand another culture, different from Romania and the idea of the European citizenship,
Beneficiaries / target group:
33 students from the “Anghel Saligny” Technical College Bacau, from the XI and the XII classes of technical, mathematics and informatics profiles.
Results:
17 students have carried out internships in Portugal in the period between 08.IV.2015 - 21.IV.2015.
16 students have carried out internships in Spain in the period 05.V.2015 - 18.V.2015.

The project began with a conference presenting the project within the college. It followed the entry of potential participants in the training. The selection of participants was made in three steps: a test for digital skills, a test of English language and an interview.
1. Portugal – the internships were held in the offices of INDOT Design, Barcelos reception partners. The work program was 6 hours / day and included content of the national curriculum from the XI and the XII grade, according to Learning Agreement. Among the main activities include: use of information from the Internet, Introduction to Web 2.0 content elements of web pages, Blog & Wiki.
2. Spain – The work program was held in the offices of M.E.P. EUROPROJECTS Granada reception partners and was targeted to different and complex tasks in IT field and included content of the national curriculum from grade XI, according to Learning Agreement. Among the main activities include: use of the information on Internet, the Publisher application, collaborative tools, Blog & Wiki.
Throughout the professional program, students have demonstrated a thorough knowledge of IT operating concepts, using it optimally.
The final evaluation of both practices was conducted by the practical test of creating a blog or Wiki, including elements learned during internships.
Completion of internships was successful in both cases – in Portugal and in Spain. Each student received a certificate of participation from particular organization and a Europass Mobility certificate as well. On Europass there are specified the skills acquired by the participants during their internships.
Erasmus+ project – “European Skills in web Design” brought values and benefits for both – for our school and for our students:
- The practices held in Portugal and in Spain increased the students chances to integrate in European labor market and the development of the entrepreneurship in an international context and the personal development through increased self confidence,
- The students from the “Anghel Saligny” Technical College from Bacau developed their social, personal and professional skills,
- The students learned that the development of technology leads to creativity, diversity and allows to get knowledge in the school and beyond,
- A very important fact is that participants have developed their communication skills in English and even more – they learned some words and phrases in Portuguese and Spanish,
- The students have improved their intercultural skills and understood the idea of European citizenship,
- They have got new friends from other group of participants from other European countries,
