The CEDER XIII project is in keeping with the mobility actions developped by AFEC. AFEC Europe conveys this proposal aiming at including within the training path of unemployed people a working experience in the form of a work placement taking place in a Member State of the European Union.
Thus, CEDER XIII project targetting the following audiences:
- VET learners coming from the AFEC branches
- unemployed people graduated for less than a year
- AFEC Europe staff
This project, which started in July 2014, enabled 75 VET learners coming from the AFEC branches and unemployed people graduated for less than a year to carry out a work placement within a company in Europe, on a position corresponding to their profile and to their professional project. The duration of the mobility varied from 3 to 13 weeks.
Most trainees were place thanks to our partner network (intermediary organisations). Some trainees left without the intermediary of a placement organisation, in this case we were directly in contact with the companies.
The destinations were the following : Cork (Ireland), Derry, Eastbourne, Frimley, London and Stirling (United Kingdom), Tenerife, Seville, Lugo and Barcelona (Spain), Lisbonne (Portugal), Wageningen (Netherlands), Prague (Czech Republic), Vilnius (Lithuania), Turin (Italy), Berlin and Bonn (Germany) and Malta.
The participants gone for over a month had the possibility to access a linguistic preparation online.
At the end of their experience, participants received a Europass Mobility and a certificate. We also gave the trainees gone in an English-speaking country the possibility to take the TOEIC exam after their return.
The experience of the work placement has enabled the participants to:
- apply the competences they had acquired during a previous training
- acquire new professional competences by confronting to a new working environment
- acquire transversal skills and competencies (adaptability, intercultural, social and cultural competences, etc.), major stake for a facilitated integration on the labour market
- improve language skills
Thanks to this project, 5 AFEC Europe staff mobilities were also organised.
