It will be placed in a rural area in the Communauté de Communes des Portes De l'Entre Deux Mers (CDC), 20km away from Bordeaux.
At the project, volunteers will have the opportunity to spend their time and energy in structures in the Communauté de Communes des Portes De l'Entre Deux Mers (CDC) focusing on children and youth. The struture offer educational and participative activities within the field of animation. The activities aims to encourage the involvement of young people in their communities, and provide a better understanding of European diversity. As part of the project, the volunteers will also have the opportunity to participate in activities with CONCORDIA such as international workcamps/volunteer projects, the Fair and local Trade shop and the project "Tools for Life".
The volunteers will be mobilized starting from the second half, one hour each day on TAP. A time to create, develop and achieve an animation project and lead workshops on topics of European citizenship, protection of the environment and the garden.
For 7 years, the project together with CDC have continued to grow thanks to the contribution from the volunteers reaching an audience in the ages of 2 to 17 and several youth organizations. Now, the CDC want to engage EVS volunteers to improve further. In order to do this, Concordia started an youth exchange together with CDC on the theme of discrimination in July 2013. The exchange allowed locals to discover new European projects and create an dynamic local area. In this context, the CDC is very enthusiastic to welcome back new volunteers for the year 2015/2016.
Partners to send for this project are the association "Compass Európai Ifjúsági Közösségért Egyesület" from Hungary and the association Lunaria from Italy.
