Legal training in intercultural communication ( COJI)Since 1957, ISIT trains translators, conference interpreters and lawyer-linguists for international organizations and the private market. Since 1978, ISIT delivers a diploma of lawyer linguist to Master graduates Law students. In 2007, ISIT collaborated conferences on issues of European Directive 2010/64 on the right to interpretation and translation in criminal proceedings which creates a new legal framework for the collaboration between translators interpreters , judges and lawyers is required. ISIT has also joined Eulita (European Legal Interpreters and Translators Association ) and has participated in various projects funded by DG Justice ( Impli , Cominor Inquest, Qualetra ) . To continue its action, ISIT wants to set up a training for lawyers wishing to practice law in a multilingual and multicultural European context. This practice requires an understanding of intercultural issues , knowledge of the different actors involved in Europe and trades on shares of justice and a strong proficiency in at least two European languages. It will be a set of courses offered in the form of continuous training throughout the life -face or online to develop the expertise and know- be agents of justice to meet the Europeanisation of Justice. This training will offer a set of four sectors (lessons, products, research and events) covering 80 hours per year over 3 years with courses and case studies in occupational status . The program is supervised by two teachers researchers specializing in European and intercultural legal issues .
