This project tackled climate change and youth mobilization. It is an initiative of 3 European NGOs (Bulgaria, Italy, Poland), 2 African NGOs (Kenya, Tanzania) and 1 South Asian NGO (Nepal).The project's broader objective is to build youth leaders' capacity for developing, communicating and implementing initiatives that raise awareness and mobilize youth on global environmental challenges, as well as to reinforce international partnership and solidarity in climate change action among Asian, African and European youth. The project's specific objectives are:e to raise awareness of climate change and climate justice;o within its geographical scope, to build youth leaders', capacity to advocate climate solidarity and to develop youth leaders' skills for environmental activism, youth mobilization and culture-sensitive communication techniques, in particular through promoting the use of multimedia resources and interactive learning methods;to promote global climate solidarity and the ETľšetimate change agenda. In order to achieve these objectives:Trainings of trainers and workshops will acquaint youth leaders with climate change policy, whiter-atsa sensitizing them to the equity issues inherent in the global climate change regime. Participants will thus be empowered to partake in policy debates on global challenges. o Youth leaders will be trained on how to effectively communicate climate change messages and mobilize youth action. They will leave the project with improved skills for utilizing multimedia resources and interactive learning methods for meaningful youth work. • People-to-people events, such as simulation games "International climate change negotiations" and youth-friendly awareness raising activities will allow youth leaders to work with local communities and get first-hand experience with international youth mobilization. To a differing extent, activities will directly involve 161 young people and 26 experts/trainers. They will be implemented in Dobrich (Bulgaria), Trapetto (Italy), Krakow (Poland), Nairobi (Kenya), Dar Es Salaam (Tanzania) and Kathmandu (Nepal).The project will foster young people's civic responsibility and active citizenship and will lay the foundation of a climate-sensitive transnational network of youth organizations from Europe, Africa and Asia.The project strives towards sustalnability and tangible multiplier effects. It is based on the conviction that the trained and empowered youth leaders will continue working towards social mobilization on climate issues and will thus contribute to efforts at building a low-carbon society. The results and messages of the project will be disseminated through a "Climate Change Diaries" website and social space, as well as during key events.
