The aim of the project is the revitalization of the region's two historical and natural values: the 200 years old Park of Károlyi Castle located in Carei and the Jékey mansion park located in Géberjén. The parks were in neglected state, but have got unique botanical values.The general objective of the project is to increase the settlement's competitiveness, improve people's quality of life and health, by common protection of the environment and of the natural/historical values.The specific objectives are linked to the common revitalization of the protected historical gardens - Károlyi Castle's park in Carei and Jékey mansion's Park in Géberjén as well as to strengthening cross-border relationships. The direct beneficiary of the project results is the population of Carei and Géberjén (approx.. 40 000 people); primary, secondary and higher education students; botanists and other specialists visiting the RegionIndirect target group: families, tourists, nature conservation civil society organizations, small and medium-sized service and tourism businesses.
