The goal of the ’Common language is laughing’ project is to involve EVS volunteers coming to Hungary to join organizing volunteer activities for 12 months and to take part in more and more activities. These volunteer activities will take place in different social and environmental institutions of Debrecen, therefore the volunteers will participate in projects with the children from orphanage, children from the Refugee Camp, handicapped and disadvantaged children take care of elder people, to help animals at the animal shelter and at the Forestry. Our goal is to give experience to the volunteers in seeing how these activities are organized and achieved in Hungary and through the volunteers we would like to show that only because someone comes from a different culture or speaks another language still he/she can be a valuable and exciting member of the society and her experience can be value for the local community. We believe that in this way we can motivate the Hungarian youngsters to spend more time of their spare time with volunteer helping and also for the members of the social institutions it will be a new and great experience to meet a volunteer from abroad.
