The goal of COLTT was to empower teachers in the use of ICT for transnational collaborative communication, providing a new approach to international collaboration in the teaching of adults. Having developed a handbook on collaborative learning, able to support ICT-based learning activity in a traditional (classroom) learning environment, an In-Service Training (IST) course was subsequently developed and introduced by project partners. Beyond adult educators, secondary targets for the project were individual learners, able to benefit from access to new and different learning environments and from increasing their basic skills in intercultural communication.
