The project Coasts of the Future is a co-operation project between actors engaged in costal area development in the Oresund-Kattegat-Skagerrak-region. The coastal areas have experienced an extensive industrial change – from traditional enterprises such as fishing boats to tourism. A challenge is to adapt to the change in a way that leads to economic growth, and at the same time preserve environmental, cultural and social values. Achievements: Folders and reports about the costal area development in the Oresund-Kattegat-Skagerrak-region. Knowledge sharing between the partners. Formation of a competence network that exchange experiences and knowledge on coastal development. The project has investigated the conditions for thematic coast trails and complementary concepts and services in the Öresund/Kattegat/Skagerak triangle.
