For quite some time now, European and Italian schools have started to explore the possibility to integrate the various curricular subjects in a foreign language through the CLIL’s experimentation. This work has been done with the awareness that this kind of ability will be precious for our students who will live in a global village created by modern informatics technology. As future European citizens they will have to know how to operate in at least two of the communitarian languages. Our institute is an ideal candidate for this kind of initiative, considering that the first attempts of experimentation in Italy has seen the technical institutes themselves involved on the forefront. In the process of starting the CLIL project in school, the teachers of the specific subject, in collaboration with the English teachers, will organise for forms in the said language. In order to activate this project it’s necessary to increase mobility of the teachers abroad.
The project will be arranged in the following ways:
in the first year of mobility, the subject teachers, holding a B1 certificate, will follow a reinforcement course in the English language ;
in the second year of mobility, the teachers will follow a CLIL course in England, so as to acquire the necessary methods to start a CLIL course at school.
Through mobility and cooperation of other European formation schools, the teachers of the institute will have the following objectives:
increase their linguistic competences in order to teach a discipline in a foreign language;
gain didactic – methodological competences, characteristic of the CLIL, which will be useful for an effective and motivating learning;
create and develop a lifelong training environment;
project a CLIL course;
create lessons, forms, and units of learning for CLIL classes;
increase collaboration between foreign language and CLIL teachers;
build a connection between CLIL teachers at a local level
