Start date: Jun 17, 2014, End date: Jun 17, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Youth Exchange CityBound Athens 2014 was a continuation of the mission of "City Bound Europe 2.0" - Network of eight NGOs from different European countries gathered by the common aim: bring Europe closer to young people. In order to reach this aims our Network organises several youth activities in member countries all over Europe. CityBound Athens took place for the second time. As previous project turned out to be a great success we decided that CB Athens should be an annual event of the Network. During this seven-days-long exchange young people (13-17 years old) worked together to achieve the following aims of the Network: - to raise awareness on European Citizenship and culture – by strengthening the feeling of belonging to one European society - to promote solidarity, understanding, tolerance and cohesion among European Society by breaking up national divisions and searching for universal values - to rise the spirit of voluntary work among youngsters by showing them tools to act - consolidating the non-formal education as a method of work with young people in general, what in particular manifests in reaching above mentioned aims with adventure-based learning methodology The exchange was implemented by an international team of the Network by high adventure activities, trust building and cooperation tasks, physical and social challenges. Participant's awareness and knowledge about European issues throughout sport activities, simulations, role-plays and group discussions were raised.
