The Youth Exchange "Circus pathways" was formed from the vision of creative peer learning of young people and spreading of circus pedagogy as a methods of inclusive practice that promotes personal and social development and social engagement of young people.The aim of the project is to encourage young people to learn about themselves, exploring their personalities / identities and life stories through the medium of art and circus. To encourage peer learning of different circus skills and other street arts (music, theater, visual arts), creative sharing, collaboration and learning of solidar co-creatio in an international community - where each individual has an important and active role. An important activity will be the process of creating and presenting an interactive performance "Circus pathways", which will create an experience of communication between the local community and the massage of participants about their own life stories and topics that touched the group during the exchange process and creative exploration. In the process of creating a performance the participants will learn about the natural and cultural heritage of Slovenian Istria and use its elements in the performance.Our goal is to educate young people for an integrated sustainable way of living (social, cultural and environmental). Living in natural environment with a strong cultural heritage (village Hrvoji, Pomjan and Koštabona) and Dragonja Nature Park (protected area of Natura 2000), outdoor activities, theoretical and practical activities concerning environmental issues, will make the participants environmentally sensitive and promote a healthy life stille. Besides that, we want to explore sustainable ways of intercultural co-existing and experience how ethnic diversity can foster the quality of circus creation. With this we want to increase the tolerance towards foreigners and increase their social inclusion.The project will be attended by 25 young people from Slovenia, Germany, Czech Republic and Italy. Among them will be socially, economically and politically disadvantaged young people (especially immigrants). Young people who are interested in working with immigrants or circus pedagogy as a medium of social and inclusive work. And young people who are interested in exploring art and cultural activities.The objectives of the exchanges will be achieved through a broad circus pedagogy methods, empirical and experiential learning, group creative process towards a common goal and other methods of non-formal learning.Knowledge and skills for active participation the young people will develop throught interactive social games for connect the group, experiential learning in nature, open communication, involvement of everyone's active participation, the use of creative media, tools of improvisation. Through methods of Open Space participants will actively participate with sharing their knowledge and skills related to the circus pedagogy (differen use of props, building human pyramids, clown workshop, etc.) and theatre pedagogy (visual theater, theater of the oppressed, role play, etc.) and street art. To raise the awareness of the learning process will also be use other methods of non-formal education such as: the method of talking stick, the method of CHECK IN, different refletion methods (post-in walls, record, ect.) etc.The results of the exchange are going to be young people who are empowered on social and personal levels. They will be sharing mutual inspiration for development of informal education of young people through circus pedagogy and creative-arts entertainment media. Participants migrants will be motivated for active leisure time and active participation in their society. They newly established network of relationships with peers as well as their common goal - to create through the circus and the arts, will have a significant impact on their social inclusion. A concrete outcome of the exchange will be a performances "Circus pathways" and a short inspirational film about a circus pedagogy recorded on the basis of moments of the exchange and statements of participants. The film will spreading awareness of the circus pedagogy as well as ERAMSUS + program in all countries included in the project. In addition, young people at the exchange will gather activities and methods in the manual that will serve as a device for spreading the results of the project in all partner countries, their organizations and beyond. Partner organizations will be, trough designing a new international activities and implementating the elements of the exchanges in their regular activities in their local environment, develope a high-quality support system for non-formal education of youth and peer learning that is based on circus pedagogy and experiential learning. We want to create a platform for expanding the use of circus pedagogy in the field of inclusive practices and preventive work with young people.
