"Circus For Inclusion;..! Move. Act. SMILE! Cultural Employment & oportunitties" is a youth exchange brings together 32 young people from four countries (Germany, Portugal, Finland and Spain), interested and / or experienced in the fields of art circus and who are willing to share, exchange, and explore, through this art form, questions of identity, integration of minorities in the community (local / European), and immigration. The meeting will take place in the Villa de Santa Brigida and Las Palmas, on the island of Gran Canaria, the 5th to1th October, 2015, coinciding with the International Festival of Street Arts ( INVASION CIRCENSE ), which is due to be held in the same dates in the city Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and it surroungings ( Sta brigida ) produced by Mojo de Caña. It is out intention to use it as a resource for holding an International Gala with young artists from different countries. This mix of disciplines and cultures will be the starting point of the meeting during which young people will have time and space to exchange knowledge and experiences about their cultures, practices Circus and artistic diversity, integration of cultural minorities in the society, reflecting about the diversity that exists in Europe. Through games, discussions, practical sessions and sharing techniques, participants discussed directly with the issue of multi-identity and integration, using art as a mode of expression and exchanges. Participants will be inspired by their own personal experiences, but also by direct encounter with other young people to share their perceptions and views on the importance of respecting a diversity. The workshops will propose news points of view and ways to meet, exchange and learn from these young people and share with them the dream of a modern society where diversity is taken as something enriching.
