Our education centre for elementary teaching in Sta. Christiana Frohsdorf is developing a project to strengthen the occupation competence and the knowledge of foreign languages up to a European level.This project is supported by the ADC-college in London. As a partner the ADC is a facilitator and a junction for communication between our school and the firms.Therefore, our students are taught for 3 1/2years in different subjects like daycare and elementary school teaching practice, principles of teaching and pedagogic. To follow the curriculum they must do their practical education in special occupations.They are also prepared in class to get their occupational necessary knowledge of the foreign language English.So the students are being prepared for their future language knowledge.Finally we contact the project partners and with the supporting teachers we then work out a strategy. The students will stay too by too with a host family.While their stay, the students study, practice and sit in on at special occupations of childcare and education.The supporting teachers visit the students, help them preparing the lessons and reflexion as well as the presentation.The aim of this project is to increase and to expand the mobility and to take part in the European job market.The qualification such as teamwork, social competence and independence should be improved. The knowledge the students get in their school and in their practical work should become deeper. Different organization structures and knowledge of foreign languages should be expanded.Our students are attending the 4th form of a 5 years lasting advanced apprenticeship to become a kindergarten and care centre teacher.Tolerance and respect for foreign cultures and other peoples is our general orientation and should be strengthened with this journey as well as the awareness of the importance of a cultural and linguistic dicersity in Europe. By this project, especially by the final presentations, should encourage future students to participate in such projects.
