The project proposal seeks to build on the opportunity to put in synergy different youth work experiences and community approaches related child protection and development from different organizations across the World. The project promotes a transnational capacity building programme between EU and Partner Countries, engaging youth workers to protect and support the well-being of children and youth, with a view to improving participants' level of competences and fostering their active participation in global and local societies. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:- To launch, test & develop a capacity building programme on “child protection and development”, targeting youth workers and young leaders from EU, African, Asian and South American countries.- To equip youth workers and young leaders with knowledge, key competences and employable tools related to “child protection and development” through different cultural perspectives, educational approaches and community experiences from different regions of the World.- To promote the role of young leaders as community ambassadors able to communicate with their pairs and step up in leadership role in the sustainable development of their local and global communities.- To increase transnational cooperation and exchange of good practices between youth workers, organizations and NGOs active in the child protection and development field from different World context.TARGET GROUPS- Youth workers who work with vulnerable young people and children in community activities- A wider audience of youth workers and young people that will be reached through OER THE CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMMEThe training capacity building programme include N. 4 TC in Italy, Senegal, Kenya and India, N.1 Final seminar in Greece, N.7 Job shadowing through all participating countries. The training courses aim to provide youth workers with knowledge, key competences and tools related to “protection and promotion of the rights of the child” from different cultural perspectives, educational approaches and community experiences from different regions of the World. The job shadowing activities hosted in Partner Countries will offer a further opportunity for practical learning experience by gaining insight into day-to-day activities of the hosting organization, learning about youth community work practices in the hosting country addressing critical issues related to child protection and development. The project is contributing to the introduction of ICT in the youth training by developing an e-learning course for youth workers. RESULTS & OUTPUTS- Open educational resources on child protection and development, including e-learning modules and training- Increased socio-professional development of N X trained youth workers trained within the project- Increased cooperation, networking and sharing of experiences in the field of youth - Increased capacity building of organizations from EU and Partner countries
