PROJECT
FINISHED
In our school we offer education with a vocational specialization (clinical and toxicological analysis, synthesis and production of pharmaceuticals and forenzic chemistry) that provides interesting prospects for our students. In spite of the fact, that our school cooperates with with many chemical and pharmaceutical companies, it is evident, that in order to increase the chance of our students to boost their future career, they need more profound practical experience. Considering this reason it is essential for our school to offer its students such kind of practical experience that enables the most effective gaining of practical skills. For this reason we have prepared a project with the Rhein-Erft Akademie gGmbH (REA) that has to its disposal a unique semi-production educational center. It gives our students an opportunity to have a try of production of a different chemical products and compounds during two weeks stay at one place. Such experience couldn't be gained just in one real company and for such a short period. In addition, the position of the partner institution (Chemiepark Knapsack) provides the possibility of excursions to companies of chemical production on a global scale.Mobilities will take place in two periods, every time for a group of 16 students of the fourth year study. The schedule is as follows: The first mobility will take place from 4th to 17th September 2017 and the second mobility is scheduled for the period of 3rd to 16th September 2018. Our students will gain experience in semi-production by working on model devices that are used in companies. Students will work according to the organizational rules of companies that are located in Chemiepark Knapsack, so that their work will not be only a kind of an imaginary game with the chemicals in the school lab, but it will be a real production for companies that offer successfully their products in a real market. Another goal of the internship will be the improvement of their knowledge of foreign languages, especially technical terms in the field of chemistry. Students will experience foreign working practices, methods used in handling chemicals and in the manufacture of chemical production in Germany and the principles of safety in chemical companies. As we would like the practical experience to have a tangible and measurable results, we apply in our project ECVET rules. Successful participants will (having passed the final exam) get the Europass Mobility.
