"Changing Perspectives II" was a youth exchange co-financed by the Erasmus + Programme that toke place in Sintra from 26th March to 2nd April 2016 and with an Advance Preparatory Visit from 11th to 14th February 2016, with all leaders of the countries to prepare the youth exchange. The youth exchange gathered 20 youngsters and 5 leaders from Portugal, Denmark, Moldova, Armenia and Spain.
The project objectives were: to reflect upon the situation of youth unemployment after school period in order to evoke critical thinking towards the topic and aware of their active role during that period; to discuss the competences required for employability of young people in order to give them opportunity to develop the awareness of individual potential and sense of competences development; to reflect on the development and acquisition of competences through different types of education systems in order to provide them with practical knowledge to give them inspiration and will to improve their skills/attitudes and behaviors.
The activities during the project were based on non-formal methods (name-games, team buildings, energizers, brainstorming, visits, simulations, role plays, creative thinking, self-assessment, individual and group reflections, group discussions. The participants fostered personal and social development, improved their communication skills, gained new perspectives upon entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship, as well as developed intercultural competences. The participants also improved their knowledge and gained new perspectives about: education, self-employment, culture, personal-development, competences for labour market, European labour market, etc. In general, they got inspiration to be more active in their local community, and assume a more participative role in deciding their professional and personal future.
