Cezaevlerindeki personele yetişkin eğitimi veren eğiticilerin eğitimi
Start date: Dec 31, 2015, End date: Dec 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Since the date of November 2014; Prisons in Turkey have 49.599 employee (staff) with 46 different professions. This situation shows us that there is a hardships encountered about adult group having occupational differences. In the face of such a situation (table); lack of trainers who have qualifications about adult training and who have solid knowledge as a field expert (especially in this specific area) indicates that the results will not be sufficent in terms of desired results in the adult educational studies. We belive that having observed training activities of different constittutions across adult educations and gained information and experiences about adult training system in European countries will contribute to our trainers to review our adult education programs towards prison staff. Moreover; these experiences will also contribute to revision the adult training programs. In the scope of the presented (proposed) project; our trainers who take participate in prison staff training process and adult education studies will observe and learn training techniques which are implemented in European countries. After then; we believe that they will be able to develop the studies carried out and they will be able to provide better guidance to other trainers giving courses to prison staff. In this project trainer will have chance to investigate the adult education programs towards prison staff in Euorope and trainers will receive training on alternative training techniques. In additon to; trainers will observe the implementation of adult education programs and they will observe how and at which stage informal educational techniques are used across rehabilitation process by study visits to prisons will be held. The project will be implemented in 9 days with two different groups in Drammen,Norway and in Augsburg,Germany. The project's expected effects on participants and results are indicated as followings: • Trainers who are giving main courses under adult education programs to prison staff will study abroad and investigate best practises in Norway and Germany; thus, these interactions will contribute to their pedagogical developments, • qualifacations of trainers who participate in prison staff training will improve their skills by working in the fields such as; adult education, informal education techniques and alternative training methods. By that way trainers will present more efficent studies to to prison staff whom they serve and prison empleyees participation in the prison activities will increase. • Trainer will contribute to their self-improvement by practising concepts about professional life, such as bussines dicipline, team-work and time management. By that way; each participations's occupational motivations will increase in their routine and monotone business lives and their desires of working/producing something new will be fired. • Learning of being in cooperation and together working with center-local-non-state actors which is supplied by governance mechanism will be provided for treining staff who give courses to prsion staff during training process. • Our staff will have opportunity to see the work conditions, standatrs, organised level and perspective of their counterparts in abroad. Thus; professional solidarity level will increase and they will have opportunity to compare the occupational standarts of both countries.
