Certificat professionnel Making Business in Europe
Start date: Sep 1, 2014, End date: Aug 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project to create a short training course recognised by the issuance of a Professional Certificate entitled "Making Business in Europe", responds to the needs expressed by employers' organizations, specialized training organisations for retraining and/or developing new competencies for public employees, and European institutions that recommend (in the context of the Europe 2020 strategy) raising the level of employability in the context of globalization. This project, carried-out by a multi-sectorial transnational partnership with the European Federation of Schools, the Spanish cooperative Promocion Educativa, the Italian private publishing company DeAgostini, and the bureau of industrial relocation GRI, proposes a novel approach for the development of a professional training course. This contractual partnership includes different organizations which provide a complementary approach: a French employer organization (CGPME: General Confederation of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises), and an association specialised in quality assurance in higher education (EQAHE: Europa Quality Agency for Higher Education). The project builds on an existing training module known as the EUBAT (European Business Administration Test) originally developed for students in full-time professional training courses, comprised of modules on European culture and citizenship and available in 165 countries around the world. The main question: Is it possible to create skills-based training courses from those established by the FEDE since 1963 which integrate the principles of e-learning and self-study in order to address the lack of general cultural knowledge regarding Europe by a workforce which faces a borderless market and therefore needs to understand today's changing world? The 24-month project will address this problem by developing a methodological approach and tangible tools: - creation of an MBE (Making Business in Europe) curriculum - which includes two modules, on European culture and citizenship (to be adapted), and two new modules (to be developed) on multiculturalism, human resources and particularities of business in Europe (the European economy, market and businesses, business development, European accounting, taxation, subsidies, lobbying...). - creation of training content based on the didactic approach provided in the curriculum. - creation of a MOOC platform (containing educational tools and tests) and a textbook. - creation of a certificate "Making Business in Europe" attesting to the acquisition of knowledge and skills. The project includes 13 phases of work that will enable the creation, testing and validation of educational tools in order to ensure their sustainability and their inclusion into the educational programs offered by training partners.
