The volunteer service, supported by Erasmus +, at CERCINA started in the past and since then we feel it as a great opportunity to us and at the same time to those who came to develop a project with us, but specially for those who benefit from that. The last volunteer group was received during 2013, three volunteers that arrived from: Hungary, Spain, and Poland, to develop activities in the aim of sport and outdoor activities, according to 2012 priorities, and also in the aim of youth participation and inclusion of people with fewer opportunities/disabilities. After an interruption, because our last two projects weren't approved, we again apply to EVS because we recognize it as a great experience. We will apply in the deadline of 04.02.2015, to start the project on 01.05.2015 (planning and preparation), scheduling the volunteers reception and the beginning of activities on 01.09.2015, for a period of 12 months (implementation), concluding the project on the end of August 2016, in a total of 18 months. CERCINA’s project as the following objectives: promote active citizenship in general and European citizenship in particular; develop solidarity and promote tolerance among young people to promote social cohesion in European Union; promote mutual understanding between young people in different countries and promote cooperation in the field of European Youth. The activities include direct contact with people with disabilities and fewer opportunities, raising awareness of social and cultural differences. Also gives the volunteers the opportunity to be in contact with good practices in the field of disabilities, as well as provide new personal skills in a country far from their origin country.
