Centre of Excellence at Warsaw School of Economics will be the first such initiative on still underdeveloped at WSE interdisciplinary areas of teaching, research and outreach activities on the external dimension of EU. It will be a new • innovative interdisciplinary(cross-cutting) research centre • innovative interdisciplinary teaching centre in terms of teaching activities• innovative interdisciplinary dissemination centre through activities of students, researchers etc.It will gather the expertise/competences of high-level WSE& other academics/experts developing synergies between the various disciplines, offering an Open Educational & Research Resources creating joint transnational research& structural links on EU with academic institutions in other countries, contributing to updating, promoting& stronger institutionalization of European Studies (its teaching& research) at WSE . Through a wide variety of activities supporting research& the teaching at WSE including among others PhD Workshops,international congresses,roundtable debates& publishing books it will: • work out the methodology of research& pedagogical strategies in teaching EU(increasing ICT skills,creative thinking,working in groups, communication& self-evaluation skills) • create E-Centre& new ICT tools(webinars,e-learning,flipped classes etc)to increase knowledge& learning process • enhance& extend research results in social media • promote sharing good practices through a dialogue & expertise-exchange among Polish and international scholars, policy-makers and wider public including civil society • promote European networking and cross-fertilisation practices in the EU research&studies• foster engagement of young academics • increase the interest in EU topics among academics not directly involved in EU studies • filling the existing at WSE gap in providing innovative research& teaching in a field particularly relevant to students studying at WSE taking not only the European Studies.
