Celebrating together 20 years of EVS: Recognizing competences and giving value to the learnings

The main objective of "Celebrating together 20 years of EVS Recognizing competences and giving value to the learnings" is to bring together former EVS volunteers and youth workers from all around Europe with experience to share reflections and learnings, to recognize skills, stimulate new accreditations in the territory of Gipuzkoa, using the accumulated experience of EVS accredited entities in Navarra, contact making, network and plan future projects within according to the process of the European Capital of culture in San Sebastián. Increase awareness of European citizenship and its benefits in a framework project such as the European Capital of Culture in San Sebastián. To be long in time and to work with many partners, the proyect is structured in two key moments. It consists of two stages. The project brings together 12 people in Navarra for (A1) Event of contact taking to work and plan this year's celebrations of the 20th anniversary of SVE, a second event, (A2) International Seminar linked to the European Capital of Culture San Sebastian 2016 with 33 ex-volunteers from 11 different countries, 3 participants from each organization, the host organization will have two facilitators. The (A1.) contact taking, which gives meaning and coherence to the process, will take place from 26 to 30 October 2016 in Pamplona taking advantage of the presence of EVS vounteers in the city and experience of each Navarran entities accredited in the European Voluntary Service. The International Seminar (A2) will be held from 12 to 19 December 2016 in Zarautz-San Sebastian, Basque Country, through techniques of non-formal education and a duration of 8 days of activity as the end of this year 2016; the 20th anniversary of EVS and the European Capital of Culture. Our objectives are to: - Provide an instance in which reflect on the specific weight of the EVS experience in the vital process of each; - Reflect on the ability, skills and key life skills that are acquired by participating in the program; - Opening a space to share experiences and encourage the accreditation of new entities; - Increase awareness of SVE and learning derived from non-formal methodology as a form of personal and professional development .; - Provide possible improvements to the EVS program outputs with ideas of the participants; - Celebrating the 20th anniversary of European Voluntary Service opening this space for group reflection and a final product of a documentary about the experiences in the program. This project reflects the interests of organizations, as they will reflect and develop the skills of their former EVS, workers who will work in this field, it will be an opportunity to share and explore important issues in the European Voluntary Service and specifically on the experience of those who have been beneficiaries of the program, skills for life they have acquired through the program, importance in the process of life and recognition of learning in the field of non-formal education. It also wants to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the program by offering an instance in which former volunteers can meet and reflect on the program.Generically in both events, mainly presentations will be addressed theoretically in morning, afternoon will be scheduled in a most practical way. Contents of work will be established through various documents, articles, magazines and catalogs for theoretical reflection and dynamics, games and educational units in the case of practical reflection. It will be requested to each group of participants from each country to work previously on the subject, organization, country and culture. Preparing in their countries, in the most creative way possible, and using technological and innovative ways, some original presentation on this work content. This will be mixed up with free and leisure time for participants as to which, from the host group, also offered other leisure alternatives related to the themes worked as trips and excursions, organized visits, sports, cultural, gastronomic, etc.The project aims to have a direct impact on themselves as participants, it aims to have an indirect impact on entities of Gipuzkoa and Navarra, as well as the staff of their organizations that receive information from each activity through their comrades.
