Coordinating organizations' "Actio Catholica Patria" mission is to empower young people and local community to benefit from voluntary activities either in terms of personal, professional development and social inclusion. “Caring is sharing” – project empowering young male and female youngsters from EU and Neighboring Partner country to active citizenship in different social, education or sport organizations of Kaunas, Lithuania motivated to work with target groups who are in social exclusion - youth and children with fewer opportunities, disabled, but also regular children at schools and youth, promoting constructive and active leisure time, awareness of social exclusion, inter-cultural learning and development of life-long learning competencies. 11 volunteers from 6 different countries: Austria, Spain, Italy, Romania, Belgium and Armenia will meet in Lithuania to implement their individual or paired EVS activities in the project “Caring is sharing”. Voluntary activities will last for 8-12 months. Expected results of the project are increased awareness of social exclusion among youth, increased life-long learning competencies of participants, increased respect to cultural diversity, better quality of social services provided in institutions and hopefully new initiatives that young people from all over Europe bring to the organizations lasting after they leave.
