'Care-sharing II' is an EVS project (European Voluntary Service) that consits in hosting a volunteer in the accredited facility 'Comunità per minori l'Aquilone' belonging to Social Cooperative Aeper in Bergamo (Italy). The project lasts one year.'Care-sharing II' is the follow-up of an EVS project which takes place starting November 2015. It is forseen an overlap of some weeks in between the EVS volunteer who is in service and the new coming: this is planned in order to garantee to the new one the chance to get a peer-to-peer introduction to the project and the reality while he/she dedicates his/her initial energies to study Italian; also the volunteer in service will benefit from the short co-existence since, while sharing, he/she will have another reason to elaborate more on the experience he/she has been doing. The title of the project expresses the nature of the experience: the volunteer will be involved in a residential facility dedicated to care and protection of children that cannot live with their families of origin right now; the volunteer will share his/her talents, interests, passions with the children who are hosted in the Comunità. The project 'Care-sharing II' has the goal to match the motivation of a young volunteer to spend one year as EVS in a facility for children and the needs of the children hosted there: on one side there is one volunteer willing to dedicate his time to solidarity and interculture by sharing his knowledges and background, on the other side there is a group of children that need new inputs, new ideas, new and diverse activities so to wide their prespective. Thanks to the presence of the EVS they can discover new opportunities and chances to grow up.The project is called 'Care-sharing II' because the volunteer will dedicate his time and creativity to take care of the children in their everyday activities and, at the same time, he/she will share his/her knowledges, creativity, competences by organizing language and art workshops, cultural events, Erasmusplus' presentation and entertainement activities.Children living in the residential facility will enjoy new inputs, vary the way they spend their time and discover a new world, the one in which, thanks to the opportunities given by the European Commission, it is possible to play and active role as citizens, to travel, to value oneself in international contexts, even if at present they live in a disadvantaged situation. This project will impact greatly both the volunteer and the children: the volunteer will experience solidarity and empathy, the children will enjoy new fresh energies. All of the them will enojoy the huge opportunity fo empowerment which 'Care-sharing II' offers because each of them will find what they lack now.'Care-sharing II' will also give the opportunity to spread the news about Erasmusplus-youth, still little known in the area of Bergamo: the volunteer will be invited by the local community to give presentations of EVS and of the program so to give visibility to the different Key Actions avalaible to youth.
