The project is a youth exchange under the Erasmus+ programme, KA1 mobility of young people to be held in Colletorto (CB), Italy in May 2017 during the Europe day celebration. The main idea of the project is to reflect on the feeling of young people related to their belonging of European Union and his values and how this affects their self-development as active young citizens. There will be 30 participants, young people 18-30 and group leaders with no age limitation coming from 6 European youth organization, from Italy, Romania, Cyprus, Turkey, Poland, Macedonia. During the project, participants will have the chance to share and learn more about themselves and about European Union, the benefits and advantages of being active citizens in their own communities, the challenges that nowadays they are facing in the actual Europe. The project will be developed around the digital storytelling method, a great tool to link their ideas, feelings and values related to the topic, releasing their potential and pro-action, dealing with digitalism in a smart approach, guiding them in an empowerment pathway mediated by the discover and interiorization of European Union values.According to this, we have set the following objectives:- raising awareness about EU values and guidelines, how much they are important for young people in order to develop a common sense of belonging, with sepcific sessions on EU and the participation in the Europe Day celebration, giving an added value to the local community- empowering young people in self-development and exploration of their potential at individual level, focusing on their competences, helping the development of skills, knowledge and attitudes which will support as well the reflection on personal barriers and socialization- boost active participation and possible concrete actions to civic engagement, supporting the idea of thinking global and acting local with the acception of being active citizens in this Europe with trends and challenges, thanks to the final production of digital contents and the participation in the preliminary contest, working on the digital expression and storytelling as a tool to gain job-related skills, getting closer to media education and participation through digital tools thanks to storytelling methods chosen. - promoting Erasmus+ programme, providing knowledge about the different actions of the programme, gaining the opportunity to start working on their own international projects, networking and cooperate to give more visibility to their actions. These objectives are definitely in line with Erasmus+ bjectives related with promotion of empowerment and skills, support in the spreading of ICT and digital competences, as Europe 2020 states, the promotion of local activities and local youth work going on international level with the involvement of different stakeholder.During the activities, forerun by online communication through social medias to the extent of begin the preparation of the group with information, documents and online sharing, we will apply a wide range of methods: team work and open space techniques, photovoice, digital presentations and multimedia creation of storytelling, brainstorming, theatre exercises, workshop and personal assignments, so all the participants are likely to develop an interactive attitude, leading them to share about themselves, their relationship with EU values, supporting their opinions, knowledge and initiative.
