Our project is kind of a continuation of the Development of Turkish Vocational and Technical Education Quality Operation, Development of Call Center Operatorship Modules that we started to carry out in 2013. With that project our school and partner schools aimed to formation of modules and all curriculum necessary for formation of Call Center Operatorship branch under Office Management departments of Vocational High schools, and pilot applications were to be made on the graduates of our schools with these resources.
As we are close to the end in that project, and there is a short period of time left for application of this module at the schools with office management department, we aimed to provide our students with quality internships at world’s one of the most famous Call Center firms Teleperformance’s Portugal headquarters and with this we aimed to give them chance of higher employment by increasing our students’ application skills with a world-class internship.
Our attending students will not only gain vocational skill improvements but also will have a cultural improvement in the periods they live in Portugal and at the internships that they will do at the multicultural work environment of Teleperformance Portugal they will both increase their cultural level more and also they will increase their English level with the communications they perform in English. This will also increase the chance of employment of our students more. Together with this, our students will have self confidence increase with the internships they will do at Teleperformance, a world leader in Call Centers, and a new opportunity appearing in their minds, they will consider working abroad and this will provide a career development for them.
Our participating schools will improve in a vocational education way with the good practice examples to be transferred by the accompanying teachers, and also they will make additions to the module they are preparing in terms of application with the observations they make. With this, the educational practical outputs of our project will be able to be conveyed both to other students in our schools and also to all the students in Turkey who study in office management departments. With the connections established with Teleperformance, a world leader firm, a great step will be taken in terms of internationalization and on the contrary to the schools who cannot provide internships at local level, our schools will turn into schools which can provide internships to their students even abroad. They will increase their prestige and they will be centers of attraction for the students not only from our city but also from our region.
With our project, the good practical examples will be added to the module during the writing of Call Center Operatorship module and therefore the outputs of our project will be able to be disseminated all over our country. It has been determined that in the next 3 years 35000 call center operators will be needed. As these numbers are available, the employees needed by the Call Center sector will be provided for the sector both with direct skills increase of our students and also with the dissemination of our project’s outputs together with Call Center Operatorship module all over Turkey. As other schools in our region will see how good things can be done with EU projects they will be more attracted to perform EU projects themselves.
