We are two teachers of a vocational school from Germany (Bayern, Regensburg) and intend zu introduce a CAD/CAM lesson. CAD/CAM technology should be a new part in our lesson. Computertechnologies become more and more interessting, because therefore it is possible zu manufacture cheaper dental technician. Our first aim is to produce theoretical und practical classes for better teaching. Two teachers of the vocational school II from Regensburg take part in this VETPRO. Mr. Robert Malik, dental technician master and teacher for the practical contents and Mr. Alfons Koller, master of education, who teaches the theoretical dental contents. He is also responsible for der quality management of the school. Both teacher are involved in further education programms of eastern bavarian and also organize in Bavaria every year a competition für joung dental technicians. Both teacher go to Austria, to the dental company CADstar, which is settled down in Bischofshofen. During the further education both teacher work during the week in this company. At their work, they will be substituted by employees of this company, specially by Mr. Huber, technical direktor of this company. For both teacher two computers, a scanunit and mortising machine are standing by their. After this week the teacher will have much knowledge about CAD/CAM and a complete CAD/CAM lesson, which can be tought at home at the vocational school. Longterm we want a cooperation between the school and the company CADstar, which is the guarantee for optimal CAD/CAM education. With the company CADstar we want a reliable partner, with whom our students can plan and produce digital dental products for a long time.
