Identification of business zones and opportunities on both sides of the border has been implemented in this project. The common network of business zones in the Pomurje Region and Zala County has been established, based on harmonised operation and new jointly developed services. Emphasis has been placed on innovation and attracting enterprises focused on innovation. A study on the services of business zones organised in a network has been made; joint training and education and promotion of the project have been implemented. Achievements: The Letter of Intent for the Establishment of a Partnership for the Development of a Network of Business Zones in the Pomurje Region and Zala County and the Agreement on the Establishment of a Partnership for the Development of a Network of Business Zones in the Pomurje Region and Zala County” were signed as a result of the project. The project partners have prepared a multilingual CD with information on business zones in the cross-border area, a database of industrial parks, incubators and industrial zones; a feasibility study was prepared in Sloveneand Hungarian. Informative lectures on innovation were carried out, and a package of information services in the field of innovation has been developed. An information web portal was established within the project as well as the unified implementation of the most necessary supporting and consulting services for existing enterprises on both sides of the border and potential new investors both in service provision inbusiness zones and in enterprises operating in business zones.
