PROJECT
FINISHED
In the local contexts, the fields of education, training and youth are not fully exploited. Indeed, they are not yet regarded as a means of supporting growth and jobs and fostering social inclusion. This lack of awareness is particularly serious given the social effects of the economic crisis. Our social cooperative aims at promoting education and training to support lifelong learning and mobility and to strengthen social cohesion, employability, and active citizenship.
To achieve this, we need to develop and improve our professional knowledge, skills and competences. So, our project includes the following objective:
- develop our capacities and competences to learn and operate at EU level and to implement transnational and EU projects in the fields of education, training and youth.
We plan to organise Staff Mobility activities aimed at supporting the professional development of a member of our management team. Our participant works for the cooperative as an administrator and project manager. He will take part in two Staff Training courses abroad:
- the first course aims at improving his language and communication skills to operate in a multinational environment where English is used internationally;
- the second course aims at developing his competences about planning and managing European educational projects.
The key knowledge, skills and competences acquired our participant will be then shared with the stuff management and used on behalf of the cooperative.
As for the results and impact envisaged, we shall be able to:
- identify and exploit available European funding opportunities for developing and improving the quality of our education, training and youth programme;
- cooperate with national and European organisations to prepare, implement, monitor and follow-up EU educational projects;
- give information, advice and support to our local stakeholders about available European funding opportunities in the fields of education, training and youth.
In the long term, we envisage the following benefits:
- more innovative education and training programme for our target groups as well as our staff and voluntaries;
- better awareness among local authorities, organisations and citizens about the potential of education, training and youth as well as about the European project and the EU values;
- improved capacity of local public and private organisations to operate at national and European level in the fields of education, training and youth.
Finally, our project will contribute to the modernisation of education and training systems, thus to support the EU efforts in achievement the goals of the Europe 2020 strategy.
