This project is based on the values of SCI Catalunya, mainly promoting global justice, empowerment and non-violence, values that we promote through local and international volunteering, as we consider that they essential tool for peacebuilding. It is these values, and this methodology, which leads us to work in such a key area: Middle East. And simultaneously, which leads us to choose the European Voluntary Service as a tool, as it allows us to promote volunteerism as a means of building peace, empowering organizations that promote youth volunteering in the area, and finally, work youth, essential to transform the current conflict in Middle East.In this case, the project has two key activities: An EVS of 6 months for two volunteers in Nablus (West Bank) hosted by the organization Youth Development Association (YDA) and EVS 6 months for two volunteers in Amman (Jordan) hosted by the organization I-Dare.These activities respond to following goal: Generate a European voluntary project to strengthen peacebuilding in the Middle East using volunteering and youth work as main tools. And to achieve this we seek to empower youth and create new strategies in the field of education for peace. We want to give civilians the role it deserves in this project. Both international volunteers, like the other volunteers associations and local people are our main stakeholders on that. We must seize this opportunity to develop a good project visibility plan that helps us spread the message of volunteerism and functionality of the Inter-Mediterranean participation and education for peace. In turn, the project seeks intercultural work in communities with few opportunities to meet people from other culturals, with special emphasis on youth work. New cultures is a way to lose the fear of "the other" essential fact in the costrucción peace in the area.Show the advantages of local and international volunteering and promever new opportunities for local citizens, it is another of the highlights. We want to show the opportunities given volunteering at the level of personal growth, empowerment of civil society and local and regional support for rural areas. We believe in the values of global citizenship that has the program Erasmus Plus and that is why, that we want to promote from the experience of volunteers in person. Finally, the project also seeks to promote cooperation among organizations to approach the project in a holistic manner that allows closer ties and promote future projects.
