The Finrusstroi project is a building and real estate market training programme for Finnish experts. The project trains the directors and principal experts at Finnish construction firms operating in the St Petersburg and Leningrad area. Training takes place interactively with the aid of new telecommunications applications. This allows for close liaison and exchange of information with Russian colleagues. There are 20-30 trainees. Training is implemented in the form of six different multiform modules which use IT technology, whose content covers covers the needs of the building and real estate markets. The teaching methods used are mainly lectures and conferences in the form of videoconferencing, and the written form of teaching in network environments. The training aims for interactivity between experts from the same sector, utlising both countries capacities as regards instructors and forms of training. The utilisation of Russian building expertise supports in particular the development of the competitiveness of business life in Kymenlaakso, South Karelia, South Savo, Pojat-Hame and East Uusimaa.
