The exchange for Spanish and German youngsters "Building bridges, developing paths ll" will take place in Vatterode and Halle (Saale) from 29th of April to 9th of May 2016. The target group are 15 youngsters from each country, mainly with fewer opportunities and partly with serious social difficulties. The goal we want to achieve with this project is to reflect, which "bridges" can be build and how we can explore actively new paths, in order to facilitate personal development and social integration of those young people. The cooperation of local organizations for youth welfare and the international youth work is a main pillar of the project which allows us to achieve a long-term impact on the youth. We are together one part of Europe and we are building bridges to meet each other. The young people will get a chance to reflect about their own identity and to be aware about its diversity. To be conscious about one's own identity and discover similarities with others is an important condition for the ability to be openminded. One important objective of the exchange is to strengthen this ability, to reduce the fear of the unknown and to arouse curiosity for discovering unknown realities and paths. During the exchange different activities are planned: thematic workshops e.g. about the own identity and perspectives for the future, experiential educative activities and sports, activities to discover the rural area, creative workshops prepared by the participants, a city game in Halle in small groups, lunch in the families of the participants and creative workshops, in which the participants will create together a radio feature, a composition (drums and didgeridoo) and a graffiti. Those products will be presented in a public closing event in the Kinder- und Jugendhaus e.V. in order to disseminate the project results among their families, other pedagogues and youngsters.
