Brot & Gebäck schmeckt immer
Start date: Jun 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The origin of this project was a former visit within another project in Norderstedt. The assistant of administration of the Austrian Consulate participated as a guest in this project. She managed the contact with the vocational center in Kiel. Therefore three institutions are connected in one project. It is an advantage that German is spoken too in the neighbor country; therefore no barrier of language is existing for the students. This was a motivation for them to participate in the project. They will achieve hard and soft skills and enhance their communicative and social competences. They have to work on their abilities of working in a team and to self-organize the daily routine of their working placements. This offers them the possibility to exchange manual skills and to get the knowledge of other recipes. Some students would never have the chance of travelling because of their social background. They take the opportunity to participate in this supported project by the European Agency. They expand their understanding for foreign cultures and different ways of living. In general the students speak their regional dialect very often .In Germany they have to use the formal German language. The coordination and organization is commonly executed by both partners. The students are accompanied by the Austrian teachers and they stay together in the same accommodation. After finishing the project some contacts will still exist between the Austrian and German partners. It is possible to find a new job in Germany through the social network platforms.
