The vocational school Vincent de Paul welcomes 800 students. It offers professional training in the following areas: administrative, business and trade, health, fashion and safety, from the 4th form Preparatory to vocational training, up to vocational certificate, via the vocational high school diploma (BETEC National). The school has been labeled "vocational school in administrative, business and trade training" since 2004. Our students come to vocational school after a chaotic school career, often from disadvantaged backgrounds. European mobility is seen as rewarding and puts these students on a path of excellence. To reach all our sections three 5-week work placement are planned for early 2016: England: 14 students and 4 adults Spain: 12 students and 4 adults Italy: 8 students and 2 adults This project is entirely in line with the academic policy and consistent with the establishment of the High School Project. Mobility aims to make the students: - Meet other ways of living, and exchange about other cultures, share a new everyday life in a foreign country. - Exchange of on professional practices, on management and (social) law and regulation. - Become more expert in their job, and be able to innovate in their practices - Exchange and learn about sustainable development issues - Improve their professional language practice. - Compare different habits, and learn and understand what is "living together" - Increase their employability in a regional context, where tourism focuses on the ability to practice foreign languages, and where mobility plays a vital role in the professional integration. - Make them aware of their capacity for autonomy and self-reliance - Make them aware that the job market is looking for more and more dynamical and mobile people, mastering a foreign language. Their choice to be candidates in a European class, however, proves a real motivation for such an experience and a desire for openness to Europe. Indeed these students have to follow 2 more one-hour courses all year long. For the students concerned to get a European vocational high school diploma, is a real pride and achievement. This success has a deep impact on the institution and the students attending the courses. This professional experience abroad will allow them to obtain the following certificates - EUROPASS MOBILITY as a proof of their experience abroad with the tasks achieved in the foreign country - EUROPRO, as a proof of their ability to testify their European mobility and European reference, in an oral and written work. - When back in France students will be able to take 2 more examinations related to their diploma (“Epreuve specifique “and “Unité facultative de Mobilité”) which will enhance and highlight their curriculum. Moreover the our vocational high school is in a labeling sustainable development approach. The internship abroad is an extension of this project. Indeed partner companies will train students for sustainable actions and habits that contribute to sustainable development and consumption (sorting, recycling ink cartridges, medicines, clothing, school supplies).They inform students of the use of funds raised. The school will organize sustainable consumption activities to educate all the students to sort and reuse items. Partnerships have been signed with the association "Center for Creativity and Enterprise / Joining Hands" and the University Hospital of Seville "Virgen del Rocio". A third one is underway with the Italian association "Tempo Libero". The students who have taken part to the responsible consumption and sustainable development project will continue in England the project started in France. In Spain they are going through a survey which aims to analyze the sustainable development approach implemented in some companies in Seville. For teachers, this experience will enable them to know the professional practices abroad, to share experiences with experts, to enrich themselves personally and professionally. A steering committee has been created, it is composed of teachers of vocational education who teach DNL, as well as foreign language teachers, and a chief executive. The steering committee will ensure the implementation of the project (methodology, specifications, scheduling, creating supports), will regulate (monitoring of budgets) evaluate (implementation tools) and will also aims to ensure communication (Rectorat, Regional Council, local authorities, businesses, families, media, high school web site). It is the link between the various partners (host partner, parents); he collects and inputs the ERASMUS project. The committee works on new ideas/ possibilities as to partners, mobilities, or on the future, development and improvement of European classes.
