The project Brighter Future will occur in São Tomé and Principe has as main themes: Art and culture and Development Cooperation. The main objectives of the project are foster mutual understanding between young people in different countries; contribute to developing the quality of support systems for youth activities and the capabilities of civil society organisations in the youth field.The group EVS activity will start on 1st of August 2009 and will end on 315t August 2009. The Service will last 1 month and involves one hosting organization, one sending organization and 10 volunteers from Portugal. The volunteers will take part in different activities in Associação Instituto Sòcio-Educativo da Criança using non¬formal education, creativity and innovation methods and tools. During this period the volunteers will have the chance to work with other Portuguese and Sao Tornean volunteers in leisure time activities for children and young people.For the hosting organisations will be the first time that they will receive EVS volunteers, so it will be a great experience, for the organisation's staff, for the volunteers but also for the beneficiaries of the activities.
