FINISHED
Bright Sparks project provided opportunities for young people to engage with a variety of community groups, to bring active European Citizenship to people who have not previously considered their role in the European Community and to develop activities which promote well-being and community cohesion.
Based at Fearon Hall Community Centre the EVS project engaged with people of all ages provided ‘human library’ of young Europeans for all users of the centre, enhanced local skills with the skills of volunteers in areas of community development based on survey results and needs analysis, encouraged entrepreneurial thinking through delivered programmes and established partnerships, developed the programme of activities for the local community and shared intercultural dialogue in the daily life in the centre. The EVS participants were involved in promoting and marketing activities, developing new activities and supporting existing programmes, including intergenerational work, work with young people from different backgrounds, families and professionals.
Bright Sparks brought 6 volunteers, (from Poland, Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus, and Italy) for a ten-month project, living in local student style accommodation in Loughborough.
